- Global Food Regulatory Counsel
Randy Liebowitz has practiced in the fields of food regulatory law, advertising law, alcohol beverage regulatory law and corporate transactional law for fifteen years. Mr. Liebowitz started his career in the U.S. Department of the Treasury at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, where he worked for six years. His work there included negotiating international trade agreements, drafting and editing federal regulations, responding the Congressional inquiries, excise taxes, and advertising, labeling and formulation enforcement. Mr. Liebowitz also served in a detail as the Acting Senior Advisor to the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Treasury where he reviewed all Treasury bureau regulations prior to signature by the Secretary of the Treasury.
Randy then transitioned to the private sector, working first for alcohol beverage companies, including Heineken and Diageo, and is presently employed by PepsiCo, Inc. Mr. Liebowitz began his career at PepsiCo in the Marketing Legal Division of the North American Beverage Division of
PepsiCo but has since been promoted to Senior Legal Director, Global Food Regulatory for the company as a whole. He reviews food and beverage labels and advertising campaigns including social media for the company globally and counsels divisional attorneys and businesses around the globe. His practice also has included sponsorship agreements, privacy, procurement, and talent and music negotiations.
Randy lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife and two young children.
